Rave On

“Rave On” is the latest Juried Art Exhibition of the Peace River Chapter of the Federation of Canadian Artists.
The images were created using the following as the theme:
“Rave on, it’s a crazy feelin’ and I know it’s got me reelin’…” From the lyrics to the song RAVE ON by Buddy Holly.
In these disconcerting times where boundaries of decency and truth telling have disappeared there are lots of things to rave about. Broken promises, broken agreements, broken relationships, broken security, etc. How has the radically changed social, political, and economic realities of our time caused you to be reeling in you response to these dynamics?
If this negative dimension of the theme does not evoke an image then focus on the nature of the feelin’ within the song – love.
Capture what evokes strong feelings of love – a child, a location, a relationship, an event, a memory etc.
Images that capture intense feelings of joy, appreciation, longing, rage, disbelief, anxiety, incredulity, disgust – that is the challenge of the theme RAVE ON.
Join us on Friday, November 7 from 7pm – 9pm for the Opening Reception.
Free admission, meet the artists, cash bar, snacks.
